Miles Ministry is a nonprofit corporation who is organized for the following Mission and Purposes:
MISSION
Our mission is to Empower, and Equip hurting Men and Women with a vision of hope, and healing , by giving them a educational apparatus that will bring them to a place of restoration by way of Preaching, Teaching, and Mentoring.
Our purpose is rooted in our mission to educate and equip homeless, displaced men and women in preparation to become viable citizens in society. This non-profit will accomplish its mission for this population by providing them with free job resources, community resources and professional Guidance. These resources will include, hygiene paraphernalia, clothing items, food provisions and those things that are relevant to the purpose and mission of Miles Ministry. The general purposes and powers of this corporation are to have and exercise all rights and powers conferred on non-profit corporations under the laws of Texas. Let it be apparent that this corporation shall not, except to an insubstantial degree, nor engage in any activities or exercise any powers that are not in furtherance of
the primary purpose of this corporation, its community partners and those who are being served.
This corporation is organized pursuant to the Texas Non-Profit Corporation Act and no part of the net earnings of the corporation shall inure to the benefit of its directors, officers, or to any other individual, except that the corporation shall be authorized and empowered to pay reasonable compensation for services rendered, and to make payments in the furtherance of the non-profit purposes of the corporation. In the event of the dissolution of the corporation, the corporation commits that any remaining assets at the time of dissolution will be distributed exclusively to a charitable, religious, or educational organization within the provisions of applicable laws.
